Can I attach files to an issue?

Of course, you can attach up to two files/screenshot simply dragging them on the issue line.

Should I use tasks or issues?

Good point! We suggest to use issues if you think the problem/phase requires “hours” to be closed. Use tasks if you think you need “days”. Do not use tasks for micro-management; issues are much more flexible. A complex issue can be anytime transformed to a task.

Are issues status customizable?

Yes, an “administrator” or “area manager” has permissions to create new statuses:  from menu, doc&tools –> lookups –> issue statuses

Who can create issues on a task?

Every user with “issue can create” permission. Usually this permission is given to project managers and workers to a project. See below for detail on security:

How are issues sorted?

Issues are always ordered by gravity. Inside the same gravity, you can sort them manually by drag & drop.

Are issues events notified?

Yes;  creation, status changes, overdue events are generated for issues and sent to the subscribed users (by default the assignee). See below for details on subscriptions:

How can I refine issues search?

There are many ready-to-use filters, but you can refine them by clicking on “refine search” link. You can filter for many issue and task properties such as status, description, assignee, severity, dates, tags and so on. You can always save you preferred filters.

Can I add comments on issues?

Every issues has its own log. Comments are added to it. You can add comment from the issue editor.

Can I record work on issues?

You can record work done on issues only if you are assigned to that issue. You can record time by clicking on the “watch” icon. When you set the status to “closed” the input is automatically shown.

How can I export issues in Excel?

From the issue list, just click on “export” icon at the top-right of the page. You can customize the information exported.

Can I organize my issues weekly?

Issues can be used for planning activities. Once you select your issues, click on “planner” link. Then you will be able to assign issues to resources and define the due date.

Can I use issues with Kanban?

Yes. Filtered issues can be organized using the Kanban page. Twproject Kanban works with multiple dimensions: gravity, status, assignee, task/sprint. See below for details.

Is there an issue history log?

Every issue maintains its own history. Open the extended editor to see the log detail.

Can I add issues by email?

Yes. Twproject can perform many actions by sending e-mail to it.  See below for details.

How one of my customers can add an issue/bug?

Can I perform bulk operations on issues?

Just filter candidate issues than select the ones you want. A box with available operations will be shown. See below for details.

Calendar FAQ

How to set server timezone?

You can set timezone, by logging with “administrator” privileges and going to admin –>  Basic configuration –> Language, dates, currency.

How can I synchronize to external calendars (Google, Exchange, Outlook)?

Twproject uses iCalendar standard for synchronizing events.

Can I manage a private event?

Yes, you can set any event as “private” directly from agenda in-place editor. More options are available in the full editor.
Private events descriptions are visible to the owner and participants only.

Can I create recurring events?

Yes, Twproject manages daily, weekly, monthly and yearly events. Click “edit” on the agenda in-place editor to access the full view.

Can I manage a meeting?

Yes. Every agenda appointment can be transformed to a meeting. Twproject has a powerful tool for managing meetings. From the event full editor, click on “set meeting” button. You can involve project teams, adding discussion points, manage the meeting minute and attach documents. There is also the option to select a part of this record and transform it directly into an Issue!

How can I see a team agenda?

Every project, task, company or department defines a workgroup. In the task/resource editor, you will find the “workgroup” box. Just click on agenda/meetings link.
You can eventually add or remove member on-the-fly from the event editor.

Can I see Twproject agenda on my mobile?

Yes. Navigate http://[YOU TWPROJECT ADDRESS]/mobile and click on “agenda” button.
If you want to use your device calendar you can add the Twproject iCalendar url that you can find in your user options.

Data / Backup FAQ

How to do a complete Twproject backup?

If you are on our cloud backup are done automatically everyday by the system itself.

If instead you are using Twproject on your own server, these are the required operations to preserve all your data and your configurations settings:

  1. Backup your database
  2. Backup the entire web application: TWPROJECT_HOME/webapps/ROOT
  3. Backup your repository, where files get uploaded: if you have not customized this folder you can find it in TWPROJECT_HOME/teamworkRepository.

Mobile FAQ

What can I do with the mobile version?

Access all your Twproject projects, issues, worklogs, events. Add and close issues, record worklogs, add events. Read documents. And a nice last touch, you can access Twproject’s file storages, so Twproject is acting as a gateway for you mobile access to your intranet documents.

Is my mobile device supported?

Twproject mobile works on the following devices: iPhone 3/4/5, iPad, Android and Blackberry (do test your device on the demo).

Do I need to install an app on my mobile?

No, just open your mobile browser and navigate to [YOUR TWPROJECT URL]/mobile. That’s all!

For a better user experience you can eventually add the Twproject page to your Home screen.
