The company is a specialist in the development of health care management software, geared mainly to facilities for the elderly, day care centers, rehabilitation facilities and private clinics. It offers services such as clinical documentation management and also vertical management in terms of both operational activities and presence monitoring.
The enterprise consists of a number of specialized departments, each of which had previously adopted an individual project management solution. Initially, as expert software programmers, they had also developed a customized solution in-house, but it was not functional as the workload increased.
We developed a custom application to manage tickets generated by customer phone calls or contacts, a CRM-like, turning them into development tasks for our IT department. However, once we found that this tool had limitations in planning team work, we looked at several project management solutions, such as Microsoft Project, which proved effective for project management but lacking in terms of collaboration. We also evaluated Celoxis, but it also had limitations that did not fully meet our needs. Finally, we discovered Twproject, a highly flexible software that was a perfect fit for our customizations.
The task was not simple, they needed a software tool to standardize the working method, improve communication and transparency between projects, get a balanced workload of resources to assess team’s work capacity and at the same time structuring projects with a standard Gantt for the various working groups.
