Temera is a specialized IoT and IT service company that caters to the fashion industry, specifically to the luxury segment, providing advanced tracking solutions via their suite of hardware, software and service solutions.
As the company grew, so did the need for specialized tools for project management with an ever growing international customer base and more and more accounts being managed and projects on these being executed. They were looking to find solutions to connect and integrate the project management part with the cost management and cost controlling part.
Their existing solutions were not able to solve the challenges. Their ERP solutions (like SAP) were not suited because they only have an accounting-centric view of the projects and don’t have strong project management features (and the licenses are very expensive). Their product-related project management tools (like JIRA) did not include any cost and account-based management, and are usually not suited for waterfall projects.
Temera’s team was also looking to decouple the accounting-centric view from the project management one, in order to dynamically work on internal pricings, timing, staffing, ecc compared to what is accounted for and billed for on the client-side.
