Find out how the Confezioni Andrea Group overcame fragmented and isolated IT project management and improved efficiency and control thanks to Twproject

Andrea Valvano - Head of IT
The Challange
The Confezioni Andrea Group, a leader for over forty years in the production of total and partial protection systems, transport and aesthetic solutions for leading car, motorcycle and aeronautical manufacturers, found itself managing projects in a fragmented manner. Each team adopted different tools, formats and methods, without a centralised system, making coordination and progress tracking difficult.
‘Each project was managed individually: no centralised repository, no naming convention, and often not even the certainty that the project actually existed on paper.’
Alessio explains that project management was left entirely up to individuals, with the result that teams struggled to work together and progress was difficult to monitor.
Confezioni Andrea had two requirements: to provide employees with a tool to organise their daily work and to offer project managers a solid platform for tracking information, simplifying processes and introducing structured management.
The first goal was to create a master template in line with the needs of the automotive industry and the APQP methodology used by the main industry players.
In the long term, the goal is even more ambitious: to gradually involve all departments participating in projects, assign clear responsibilities and track all progress, not only those visible to the customer but also internal ones.
During the evaluation phase, Twproject stood out from other solutions tested, such as Microsoft Project and Trello, for its ability to manage complex and structured projects, offering a centralised system that integrates resource management, progress tracking and communication between teams, all in a single platform.

We wanted to standardise and simplify, but above all we wanted to provide a useful tool for those who work on projects every day.
The approach
A targeted choice for managing business activities
The smart approach and the appeal of the tool’s graphical interface played a key role in the decision. The intuitive dashboards and the ability to provide detailed statistics and graphs were other key factors that convinced the team to choose Twproject. In particular, the Kanban method proved decisive, as it perfectly met the needs of this company, which was already accustomed to working with this methodology.
A gradual and integrated process
The Twproject implementation process was planned in phases, step by step, starting with technical integration that required the use of Twproject APIs and customised scripts in Powershell to connect with Microsoft Dynamics. This step allowed Confezioni Andrea to replace old ‘home-made’ software and enabled more efficient management of B2C production, facilitating the transfer of information between the head office and the branch in Serbia. Today, the team is working on the integration of the B2B process and the use of projects.
‘With Twproject, we have revolutionised production management, replacing our old software and optimising information integration between Italy and Serbia. The gradual introduction of Twproject’s ToDo lists has also proven to be a strategic tool for organising activities, monitoring times and ensuring clear and shared visibility within teams.’
A well-received cultural change
The introduction of Twproject began with the IT team, which was engaged in a strategic pilot project to migrate the company’s servers to the cloud. The initiative lasted almost a year and was managed entirely through Twproject.
During the relocation of its headquarters, the company used Twproject to share the progress of the project, allowing everyone to monitor progress and provide feedback. Thanks to Twproject, the team also received a commendation during the IATF audits, thanks to the complete documentation of the projects, Gantt charts, and everything else needed for certification.
‘We provided all employees with the public link to the project so they could follow its progress and make suggestions. Being used to ticketing systems, we immediately appreciated the simplicity and completeness of the tool. Thanks to Twproject, we haven’t missed a single detail along the way… now we want to integrate it into all areas of the company!’
Fostering the adoption and awareness of the value of Twproject
The company is still working to encourage the adoption of Twproject across all teams and to help stakeholders understand the real value of the tool, not only as a support for managing activities, but as a means of optimising the entire workflow. The main objective is to highlight the value that Twproject brings in terms of organisation and visibility of the workload.
Results
A major improvement in how things are organised and managed
Alessio talks about how Twproject helped him significantly reduce the number of emails, improve task management and increase work organisation. Today, not only is project management smoother, but back-office activities, operations for travelling technicians, and other tasks not directly related to specific projects have also become simpler and more structured.
In particular, the ToDo, planning and timesheet features have become key strengths within the company, enabling more efficient management of daily activities. The ability to plan even small tasks has changed the way each department manages its work. Before, it was unthinkable to have such a clear and centralised overview.
‘Before using Twproject, we wasted a lot of time searching for things done by other people, using different methods, stored who knows where. Now everything is centralised in one place, and we never forget anything. We no longer have to ask each other, “Do you remember that thing I asked you?”’
The bottom line
Twproject has brought about a profound change in the company, thanks to its ability to combine organisation and flexibility in a single platform. It has not only proved useful in managing IT and production projects, but has also demonstrated its cross-functional value, adapting perfectly to every area of the company that requires the coordination of resources, activities and schedules. In addition to the tool itself, the team has been able to count on constant, competent and fast support: something that is far from guaranteed and has made the whole experience even more positive.
The value of introducing organisation and flexibility into our company is priceless. I would recommend Twproject without hesitation to any type of business. In addition, the support is extraordinary, with a competent team that is always available. It is an Italian product to be proud of on a global level!
